Christian (Chris) Friedland founded Friedland Enterprises to help senior executives seeking unique insights and successful strategies to rapidly grow their business, increase profitability, and resolve complex challenges.


Mr. Friedland is a highly successful entrepreneur and EY Entrepreneur Of The Year nominee who founded, bootstrapped, scaled, and sold Build.com, the largest pure-play internet retailer in the home improvement space in the U.S.


During his 15-year tenure at Build.com, he led the company from <$1M in annual sales to $1B in annual sales (1,000X+ growth), sourced and closed four strategic acquisitions, delivered consistent annual EBITDA growth, and created a unique, winning company culture.


He’s been widely recognized as a thought leader and industry disruptor - Build.com was one of the first movers to sell home improvement products online and was one of Google’s first PPC (pay-per-click) customers in the late ‘90s -  and his entrepreneurial journey has been featured by FORBES and other leading publications.


Mr. Friedland is an action-oriented entrepreneur and Digital Transformation leader who combines his first-hand experience and bias for action with his keen sense for opportunity to help executives navigate complex challenges and business transformations enabling them to achieve heightened levels of success.
